Deck the Falls is an event where people can get together and celebrate the holidays headed by Give! Chagrin Valley Women’s League.
This first installment took place on Dec. 10 with another one planned for Dec. 17.
According to Andrea Ayyappan, President of Give! Chagrin Valley, “The Deck the Falls event in Chagrin Falls Township Hall was very festive. Kids and parents alike did Christmas crafts and had a great time embracing the holiday spirit.”
At the Dec. 10 event, children were able to meet Santa and enjoy the music played by the children’s DJ. They also had scavenger hunts with various prizes.
Many different local businesses sponsored the event such as Ganley Chevy, Chagrin Pet and Valley, Lyndall Insurance, and Chagrin Valley Dental, to name a few.
Liam Ayyappan, a young event goer said, “Every craft was fun to make because they were all Christmassy and Fun.”
On Dec. 17, the event will take place in the township hall and will feature performances by members of the Chagrin Falls orchestra, choir, and band. There will also be festive foods available such as cookies and hot chocolate.∎
