KIS Updates: 1/8/21

January 8, 2021
Dear Kenston Intermediate School Families,
Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone for a great 2021! This week our staff and students kicked off the New Year at KIS in a remote learning setting. Once again I was impressed by the staff, students, and families that worked hard to remain actively engaged in their learning. The past 17 school days in the remote setting has highlighted the adaptability and resilience of our entire Kenston Community.

I am excited for our students to return to in-person learning on Monday, January 11. It will be a great joy to see students back in the building learning in their classrooms with their teachers.

As students return to the building I just want to remind everyone that the safety protocols established at the start of the school year remain in place. Students are expected to wear masks on buses and while at school. Teachers will take time to review safety protocols with students, including physical distancing and hand hygiene. We also ask that families continue to conduct daily symptom checks and notify the main office of any absences.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
All the best,
Matt Watts
Principal
