Nicolas Sanchez was awarded the Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award. One senior from each county within the State of Ohio receives the award annually. Nicolas is the Geauga County winner this year.
Nick was recognized for demonstrating outstanding academic achievements as indicated by high school test scores and achievement awards as stipulated by the Franklin B. Walter program. He is also a positive contributor to our high school and community.
Nick plans on attending The Ohio State University next year to study electrical engineering and computer science. Ten years from now, he hopes to be creating new technologies for the music industry.
The Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Award’s Program was established by the Ohio Superintendent’s Educational Service Center Association to promote student achievement and recognize outstanding students. This scholarship award is named in honor of Franklin B. Walter who served as State Superintendent of Education for Ohio from March 1977 until August 1991.
