Superintendent Santilli accepts position at ESCWR

Dear Kenston Community,

I wanted to inform you that I have accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent at the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve (ESCWR) and will be resigning my position as Superintendent of Kenston Schools effective July 31, 2022.

I am proud of all the work the District has accomplished, focusing on the whole child, engaging and challenging them academically and supporting their social and emotional well-being in a safe and nurturing environment. I am proud that our work has always kept students at the center of all of our decisions. I am proud of our collective commitment to help all students find a place of belonging and building relationships with trusted adults. I am proud of the excellent team of teachers, administrators and staff who show up every day, embodying “Bombers Fly Together.” I also think our District has come through this pandemic stronger than ever and the next few years will continue to be years of growth and inspiration. I have always been and remain immensely proud of being associated with the Kenston Schools.

While leaving is certainly bittersweet, I am excited to begin a new chapter in a position that advances my professional and personal goals. I look forward to the opportunity to join the outstanding team at the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve and continue working with Kenston and schools across the region as we prepare students and educators for their futures.

I am making this announcement now so that the Board of Education can find a replacement to begin the 2022/23 school year. In the coming weeks, Board of Education President, Mrs. Neysa Gaskins, will be communicating how the District will move forward.

It has been and continues to be an honor to serve the Kenston Schools.

Once a Bomber, always a Bomber,

Nancy R. Santilli
Superintendent
