SENATOR JERRY CIRINO VISITS KENSTON

Kenston Schools were honored to have Senator Jerry Cirino visit with the administrative team and attend the May 10th Board of Education Meeting. Senator Cirino met with administrators and members of the Board to get to know the District, and discussed how Kenston navigated the pandemic and the challenges the district faces.
Senator Cirino discussed his upcoming initiatives and that his primary focus as a new Senator is education. The Board of Education and Administrators look forward to continued discussions with the Senator as the issue of school funding reform in Ohio begins to take shape through several pieces of legislation.
Nancy Santilli, Superintendent, expressed, “I am grateful to Senator Cirino for taking the time to meet with us and begin discussions to better understand our District and our constituents. There is a lot of work to be done, and we appreciate his focus on education and his involvement in this process.”
Senator Jerry C. Cirino is currently serving his first team in the Ohio Senate, representing the 18th District which includes citizens of the Kenston School District and people of Portage County and portions of Lake and Geauga counties.
