Kenston Community Education Update

Jennifer Moore, Executive Director of Kenston Community Education, shared an update at the December 12th Board of Education meeting.

Kenston Community Education (KCE) provides recreational and enrichment opportunities for Auburn and Bainbridge Township residents. KCE’s goal is to provide the highest level of service and the broadest selection of programs at the most affordable prices.

KCE offers over 300 programs during the school year for both adults and children. The following is an overview of the current programs offered through KCE:

  • Preschool Programs: Pee Wee Sports and Movement, Science Programs, Open Gym Opportunities
  • Youth Programs: Before School and After School Care, Art, and Science Programs,
  • Youth Recreation: Fit and Fun, Karate, Soccer, Roller and Inline Skating, and Yoga.
  • Youth Sports and Travel Sports (Pre-K through 6th grade): Basketball, Lacrosse (Boys and Girls), and Midwest Travel Basketball League
  • Middle and High School Programs: Rise Girl, SAT Review, Tween & Teen Fitness
  • Middle and High School Sports: Rec Basketball and High School Indoor Track Club
  • Adult Classes: Health, Fitness and Dance classes, Beekeeping, Crocheting, Dog Obedience, Learning Italian, Medicare, and more.

KCE is very thankful for the use of the Kenston facilities, the support of the Board of Education, Administration, and the many coaches who help to ensure the students and community have an opportunity to learn and develop new skills and strengths.
