Important Safety Information

Dear Kenston Community,

Vigilance is vital. In light of recent national and local events, school safety is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Our daily priority is to provide a safe and secure educational environment for our students to learn.

Please know that we work closely with the Bainbridge Police Department on comprehensive and school building safety plans that we continue to review and improve and make necessary changes as new information becomes available.

As a family, talk about your children’s role in school safety. Please encourage them to report anything concerning to a school staff member, the police, or a trusted adult.

If you “see something, say something!” We partner with Ohio Homeland Security to provide an anonymous 24-hour tip line that may be called or texted at 1-844-SaferOH or 844-723-3764.

It is also critical that rumors are not shared through social media or gossip. This allows the school and police to respond more efficiently to safety concerns.

As the conversation may turn to these recent acts of senseless violence, here are resources to help your children process what they may hear about these events.

As a community, we must continue to work together to keep our schools safe and support one another. I am thankful for your continued support. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me or your school principal with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Steven A. Sayers
Superintendent
