2021/22 Winter Sports Ticketing and Spectator Policies

2021 WINTER SPORTS TICKETING AND SPECTATOR POLICIES

INTRODUCTION
This year, high school and middle school athletics continue to depend on everyone’s cooperation
and support to follow the safety guidelines set by the Ohio Department of Health, the Governor’s
Office, Ohio High School Athletic Association, and Kenston Local Schools. As we have seen, the
opportunity to play sports can be taken away by the spread of COVID-19. Information contained
in this document is subject to change at any time.

One of the changes affecting school athletics to begin the year was eliminating limits on the
number of spectators at all athletic events. As such, we plan to permit full capacity at our
sporting events this winter.

We are collectively working together to do what we can to keep our student-athletes, coaches,
officials, and spectators safe. We appreciate the community’s support and cooperation to have
a safe and successful season and school year.

HEALTH GUIDELINES
• Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should stay home. According to the CDC,
symptoms include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue,
muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny
nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.
• Though we have kept seat markings in place in the event of the return of social distancing
requirements, spectators may sit in whatever proximity to others to which they are
comfortable.
o We do ask that visiting spectators sit in the visiting sections of our facilities.
• Spectators at our basketball, wrestling and other indoor events on the Kenston campus
must wear face coverings at all times except for the following reasons:
o A medical condition that restricts breathing
o Seated and actively consuming food or beverage
o Communicating with the hearing impaired
• All spectators must respect the policies in place at the various facilities we compete in
off-campus including Solon RollHouse, Elite Gymnastics Academy, and The Pond. In
general, face coverings are encouraged inside these venues.
