Welcome Back, KMS! From Principal Adam Fender

August 11, 2020

Dear KMS Families,

We are excited to begin a new school year. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome our incoming Grade 6 students, and we eagerly welcome back the Grade 7 and 8 students.  We also extend a warm welcome to the families who are new to the Kenston School District!

While the students have been away from the building since March, plenty of activity has taken place to prepare for the new school year to ensure continued academic excellence while implementing safety protocol that allows us to do so with confidence.  The custodial and maintenance teams in the district have done a wonderful job of cleaning, repairing, and making enhancements to the campus as well as our building to provide our students and faculty the means to grow and succeed.  Our teachers are busy preparing for student arrival and virtual learning.  We are excited to welcome our students back on Monday, August 31, 2020.  As the final days of summer wind down, please take some time to review a few important items of information listed below.

We look forward to beginning the school year with restorative practices as we transition back into our building, making sure that all student needs are met.  The social-emotional well-being of our students and staff will be at the forefront of our work on the first day of school and throughout the school year in conjunction with our district P.E.A.K. initiative and Middle School S.T.A.N.D committee. We look forward to seeing you very soon.

If you have further questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at the school office number provided above or a direct email below.
