Fake News: How not to fall for it, Science News for Students

“Now we get so much news and information that it’s like drinking from a fire hose”, a quote from the article points to just one of the problems with news today. There’s just too much and, now, with social media, we follow the news we like, called “confirmation bias”. There are many useful tips regarding how to spot “fake news”.  First, be sure you are reading news and NOT an advertisement. Then, be sure to check the source/author. Who is the author? What is their background? Are they an expert? What about the images? It’s tricky today, please be careful and thoughtful as you read. Read here.
