Welcome, Kenston Class of 2036!

2023/24 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Children who will be five (5) years of age on or before September 30, 2023, are eligible to register for Kindergarten during the 2023-2024 school year.

Kenston offers a full or half-day Kindergarten program. The full-day option is tuition-based.
The cost is $3,350.

Full Day: 8:35 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
Half Day: 8:35 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Only the Parent/Guardian can complete a Student Registration.  Registrations must be completed on a computer, not a tablet or mobile device.  If you are unable to access the online registration, please check and disable your pop-up blockers.

Follow the step-by-step directions to complete your child’s online registration, saving as you go.  Make a note of your Confirmation Number (so that you can return to your application, if needed.)

On the final page, you will electronically sign and click the Red Submit button.  You must click the Red Submit button, or your online registration will NOT be processed.

Here are documents/forms that you will bring or complete as part of your registration.

Documents to bring with you:
___ Photo ID of parent/guardian (driver’s license, passport)
___ Child’s original Birth Certificate
___ Original legal guardianship and/or custody papers (if applicable)
___ Immunization Records
___ Student Health/Medication Forms
– School Entrance Medical Record
– Kindergarten School Entrance Physical Examination (May screening)
___ Residency Form (one that applies) – District Resident   Verification of Residency-Lessee  Living with a District Resident
___ Two (2) Proofs of Residency
– Mortgage bill, tax bill, purchase agreement or current signed rental/lease agreement, current
homeowner’s insurance policy (or renter’s), current driver’s license, official voter registration card
– Current utility bill (gas, electric, trash or cable/internet provider) with service and mailing address.
(Printed PDF copy of online billing statement showing required information will be accepted.)

___ Full Day Kindergarten Contract and $250 Deposit (payable to KBOE), if applicable

Reserve your time for Kindergarten Screening

Kindergarten Screening will be held May 1, 2 or 3.

Kindergarten screenings are a great way to familiarize your child with their new school and it gives us an opportunity to meet your child.  In general, the screening will evaluate a range of developmental tasks including self-care skills, language development, cognitive skills, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills.

Register for Safety Town

The Bainbridge-Auburn Safety Town is free of charge and open to all children who will be attending kindergarten in the Kenston School District. “Safety Town” will be held at Timmons Elementary School; each session lasts 5 days, Monday – Friday, July 10 -14 or July 17-21.

Anyone completing registration for Full Day Kindergarten after Friday, March 17, 2023,
will be placed on a waiting list.
