AP Classes

At Kenston High school we are fortunate enough to have access to AP classes. But, are AP classes for you? ”Advanced Placement (AP)  program is in the United States and Canada created by the College Board and offers college-level and exams to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations” (Pre-scholar.com). Kenston High school offers AP Studio Art, AP English Language & Composition lll, AP English Literature and Composition lV, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP biology, AP Chemistry, AP environmental Science, AP Physics, AP European History. AP United States history, AP World history, AP government and Politics, AP Macro Economics, AP Psychology, AP French Language and AP Spanish Language. Although AP classes are rewarding sometimes their are cons that come with it. Here is a list to let you decide whether AP is for you.

  • Help college skills develop

Cons of taking AP classes

  • Difficult to take
  • End of course exam
  • Test payment
