Athletes ink letters of intent on fall signing day

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Kenston 6-foot senior first baseman Jason Vasil signed a letter of intent on Monday to continue his baseball career with the Panthers at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

A two-year varsity starter for the Bombers, Vasil hit .250 in 64 at-bats during his sophomore campaign in 2017. Kenston finished 21-7 with a 10-4 mark in the Western Reserve Conference that year.

This past spring as a junior, Vasil hit .304 in 83 plate appearances with 10 RBIs, eight walks and two steals during the Bombers’ 17-8 campaign with an 11-3 mark in the WRC. He also pitched 2 2/3 innings without giving up an earned run for a 1-0 mark on the mound.
