Kenston senior Jason Vasil smashed his 9th-pitch at bat in the bottom half of the 1st inning over the right center fence, which proved to be the game winning RBI, leading the Bombers to a 10-2 victory over the Madison Blue Streaks at Kenston HS Varsity Field in WRC league play. Madison started the scoring with 2 runs in the top half of the 1st inning after 2 outs, on a bloop single, walk, then a 2-run single by Jacob Hallet. Kenston out-hit Madison 11-5 with Vasil and freshmen Ryan Miller each with 3 hits, while senior captain Blaise Gorski had 2 hits. Madison’s Jeremy Neurohr had 2 hits for the Blue Streaks. Kenston’s Miller plated 2 runs, while Hallet had 2 RBI for Madison. Bomber junior Weston Gaskins started on the bump going 6 strong innings, yielding just 3 hits with 4 strikeouts, to pick up his first win of the year. Blue Streak starter Jared Szymczak suffered the loss. Kenston improves to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in WRC play, while Madison drops to 2-6 and 0-3 in league play.
