Kenston students and A Kid Again spread holiday cheer

By Morgan DiRocco

Five Bomber Bash lead crew members volunteered at the A Kid Again annual holiday party Sunday, Dec 1.

The lead crew members helped at the event by setting up the party and running different craft stations. Along with Morgan DiRocco, Amanda Glime, Leilah Shafer and Haleigh Shafer, senior Luke Jourdian, DJ XTRAV, played music for the children to dance to at the party.

“We were at the station where they could make gingerbread houses and they could also make ornaments, there was a life sized candy land game they could play, different carnival style games, and dancing for them,” said junior Amanda Glime.

Not only did the student volunteers get to participate in the fun events, but they also found it rewarding to help children with life threatening illnesses and their families.

“I love kids, so just helping all the kids who are terminally ill warms my heart a little bit,” said senior Haleigh Shafer.

The Bomber Bash, which is a twelve hour charity event hosted by Kenston High School students, supports A Kid Again by raising money for their charity.
A Kid Again is an organization that has helped over 206,460 families while their child is suffering a terminal illness.

With the money raised by Kenston students at the Bomber Bash, A Kid Again has the opportunities to give children and their families fun adventures to take their minds off of hospitals and medical procedures.
