Kenston tested for WRC, playoff contention: 2018 football preview and camp visit

KENSTON, Ohio — Back-to-back losses midway through last season cost Kenston a playoff spot.

The Bombers finished ninth in this region with consecutive losses to Western Reserve Conference champ Brush and Mayfield being the deterrents. Coach Jeff Grubich brings back a motivated, talented group that should light up the scoreboard.

Quarterback Jon Tomcufcic threw for 1,803 yards as a sophomore, Jack Porter rushed for 1,447 yards and 22 TDs and Bransen Stanley was the top target in the passing game. Kee-Shaun Merrill is their biggest playmaking loss to graduation, but there are plenty of reasons for Kenston to make a potent charge.
