WEIGHT & WEIGH-IN’s

According to OHSAA tournament rules, wrestlers will make scratch +2 LBS for Day 1 of the tournament (Example: 106 weight class = 108 allowed weigh in). Scratch +3 lbs for day 2 of the tournament. NOTE: Due to the threat of inclement weather in our region, and for the safety of our athletes and fans, the OHSAA has granted us weigh out procedures. Wrestlers can make weight for Day 2 during the weigh out period that evening of Day 1.

TEAM ARRIVAL & PASSES

All coaches are asked to go to the check-in area in the main gym immediately upon arrival to verify their lineups, check for any mistakes as we have it, and confirm the information on their final lineup BEFORE weigh-ins. This must be done at the head table upon your arrival. Buses must park in back of High school in designated bus loop area.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Saturday, December 30 from 8:30am – 10:00am. Pancake Breakfast is now included at no extra charge for all teams (# wrestlers entered, coaches, 2 statisticians, 1 bus driver). See below for details.

FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE 2nd CHANCE TOURNAMENT

This worked out GREAT last year and is back by popular demand of the coaches. Any Freshman or Sophomore who did not make it to day 2 of the tournament has the opportunity to wrestle in a 2nd chance “quick run” tournament on day 2 in the auxiliary gym. Matches are 3 minutes and are not “official” so they cannot be counted towards their season record report. It is considered a scrimmage and gives younger wrestlers a chance to get more experience. 9th & 10th Graders ONLY, NO Exceptions. More details at coaches meeting Day 1.
