The girls soccer team trampled over Brush in their game on Monday, September 18. Goals were scored in both the first half and in the second half; first half goals made by Elise Markley and Anna Sanders and second half goals made by Markley and Elyse Myles. The Bombers faced some new challenges this game with an injury (occurred in last game against H.B.) taking out their starting center defender. Spots had to be filled with some new people in new places but the team played with relentless effort and pulled through with a win! Coach Kathleen Vass said, “It was great to see the team preform so well in another conference game, especially with the changes in the lineup due to injuries. It is a testament to the determination and unselfishness of our players.” The Bombers are now 4-0 in their conference with wins from Brush, Chardon, Eastlake North, and Willoughby South. Catch the team at the stadium for their next major game on Tuesday, September 26 against Mayfield. JV starts at 5p.m. with varsity following at 7p.m.
