The Kenston Bomber Hockey team barred down on Thursday, February 18th, at the Kent State ice rink to topple Notre Dame Cathedral Latin 4-1. The 12th ranked NDCL team gave Kenston a show until 2 third period goals by sophomore John Barto sealed Kenston’s victory. The 7th ranked Kenston team will now move on to the second round to face the much tougher opponent, Gilmour (6th seed). Gilmour finished the season with a record of 3-27-2, as the result of a challenging schedule, even facing number one in the state, St. Francis de Sales. If the Bombers succeed in beating Gilmour, they will most likely be playing against Shaker, a foe whom they have not been able to beat this season. Show your support and come support your Kenston Bomber Hockey team. The game against Gilmour will take place Sunday February 21st at 4:00 at the Kent State ice arena.
