CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LADY BOMBERS! They are the WRC Champions with an undefeated record (12-0) in the Western Reserve Conference! Way to go girls! Come and witness the girls’ amazing basketball talents in their next game on Saturday vs rival Chardon @ Chardon, tip off 1:30 pm.

Juniors and Seniors- It’s time to start thinking about the annual Kenston After Prom Fashion show, which will be Friday, March 4. Get your groups and get ready! Sign-up in Guidance 2/4, 2/5, 2/11 and 2/12. Deadline is 2/17! The Fashion Show is a fundraiser for After Prom, so the Kenston PTO needs as many people as possible to make the show a success.

GOOD LUCK to Camden Spencer and Christa Niemann as they represent Kenston in the Ohio High School Figure Skating Competition being held this weekend in Shaker.

1). Pick a Thursday in February
2). Get a permission slip from your school counselor
3). Return the signed permission slip
4). Choose two Auburn programs to visit.

Seniors – the preliminary lists of SENIORS GRADUATING WITH HONORS and those receiving HONORS DIPLOMAS is posted on the Guidance window across from the library. Please check this list. If you feel you deserve these honors and don’t see your name, contact your Guidance Counselor. Also, the seniors receiving COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS to date are listed. Seniors have until April 29 to turn in completed and signed community service hours.

ATTENTION ALL ENVIROTHON MEMBERS! There will be a meeting on Monday, February 8th in homeroom in B130. All current members and anyone wanting to join or participate in the competition this spring should plan on attending.

JANUS: Attention all creative writers and artists! Janus, Kenston’s literary magazine, is now taking entries for this year’s issue. We are looking for all types of writing and artwork to showcase Kenston talent. Please stop by A119 for an entry form (or see your English or art teacher). The deadline for entries is February 12.

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS—Grades 7-12:
Students interested in learning more about taking courses through the College Credit Plus program at Kent State Geauga should consider attending an information session on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at both the Burton and Twinsburg locations. Stop by Guidance for an information flier.
Kenston High School will host the annual College Credit Plus Info Night on February 18 here at KHS.
ALL students interested in participating in College Credit Plus for the 2016-17 school year (taking high school and college courses at the same time) MUST attend Kenston’s info session – this includes those who are already in the program, those planning to take classes off-campus and those who plan to take CCP classes offered here at KHS. Mark the date on your calendar. One parent and the student must attend. There are several important changes for the coming year and intent forms must be signed and turned in by the MANDATED DEADLINE – March 18. See Guidance if you have questions.
