Seniors – the preliminary lists of SENIORS GRADUATING WITH HONORS and those receiving HONORS DIPLOMAS is posted on the Guidance window across from the library. Please check this list. If you feel you deserve these honors and don’t see your name, contact your Guidance Counselor. Also, the seniors receiving COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS to date are listed. Seniors have until April 29 to turn in completed and signed community service hours.

KCE High School Rec Basketball Draft Night is WEDNESDAY, February 3rd at 7pm in the KMS Cafeteria. All players must be registered before the draft to be eligible for the league. All players are encouraged to attend draft night – pizza will be served! Signup online on the KCE website TODAY!
WEDNESDAY: LEAF will hold a FAFSA DEMONSTRATION session on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 at 6:30 PM for high school seniors and their parents at the LEAF Resource Center at 8221 Auburn Road. The session will show parents/students how to file the FAFSA electronically at home. Please register online or call LEAF at (440) 358-8045 to reserve a seat or make an appointment. Reservations are required, capacity is limited.

We are looking for all types of writing and artwork to showcase Kenston talent. Please stop by A119 for an entry form (or see your English or art teacher). The deadline for entries is February 12.

Students interested in learning more about taking courses through the College Credit Plus program at Kent State Geauga should consider attending an information session on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at both the Burton and Twinsburg locations. Stop by Guidance for an information flier.
Kenston High School will host the annual College Credit Plus Info Night on February 18 here at KHS.
ALL students interested in participating in College Credit Plus for the 2016-17 school year (taking high school and college courses at the same time) MUST attend Kenston’s info session – this includes those who are already in the program, those planning to take classes off-campus and those who plan to take CCP classes offered here at KHS. Mark the date on your calendar. One parent and the student must attend. There are several important changes for the coming year and intent forms must be signed and turned in by the MANDATED DEADLINE – March 18. See Guidance if you have questions.

*Attention students age 13 to 18 interested in the environment and nature. Holden Arboretum offers a junior volunteer program this summer, June 13-July 29 and is looking for interested volunteers. Must commit volunteering two or three HALF-DAYS (Tues/Thurs) or (Tues-Wed-Thurs) throughout the program. Application available in Guidance. One recommendation letter required. Deadline for applying is Friday, March 11, 2016.
*Lebanon Valley College hosts a Health and Biomedical Sciences Summer Camp from July 10-15, 2016. Engage in hands-on laboratory investigations; interact with practicing professionals in the fields of medicine, physical therapy, toxicology, genetic counseling and biomedical laboratory research. The camp is a fun, challenging and engaging college environment for those interested in becoming a biomedical scientist and health professional. More details in Guidance.
