The Boys Basketball team has already played every team in the Western Reserve Conference once at this point in the season. Although their 3-3 conference record might seem average, the boys are disappointed in the outcomes of some close games, and these losses have served as motivation for the team. They are excited for the opportunity to play every team in the conference one more time around, and if the team goes undefeated, they still have a very good chance to win the first Western Reserve Conference championship. Many teams including Brush, Madison, Willoughby South, and Mayfield are also still very much in the title race. Starting guard Joshua Kain is optimistic about our WRC title chances still, saying “We are not out of the race for the title. We can still control our own destiny going forward. No games off!” Sophomore Ryan Kooser has also had a positive outlook on the team’s position in the conference throughout this past week, as he has continuously mentioned “If we win out (in the conference from this point forward), everything will be okay.” Best of luck to our Boys Basketball team going forward, in their pursuit of a conference title and a deep playoff run!
