On Saturday, January 14, with events running from 8:30am until 2:30pm followed by the awards ceremony, middle and high school Science Olympiad teams will compete in the Division B and C Science Olympiad Invitational Tournament. Division B is for competitors in grades 5 through 9. Division C is for high school teams.
Parent, student and community volunteers serve as event moderators, judges and timers, and also have organize and staff the competition.
Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to challenging, inspiring and informing students in astronomy, geology, chemistry, biology, physics, and invention. At Science Olympiad tournaments, teams and individuals compete in building and written events with names like “disease detective,” “microbe mission,” “reach for the stars,” and “road scholar.”
