Technology Integration Education
The Kenston Middle School grades 6-8 Computer Education course utilizes Google Apps For Education to explore the emerging technologies and productivity tools that support student learning. The nine week course specifically focuses on the technology skills related to communication, research, layout, presentation, and publication. The course builds as student move through each grade level. Students learn to be responsible digital citizens to effectively manage their digital footprints. Sections of the course are taught by Mr. Williams and Mr. Klimkowski.
Eighth grade students enrolled in Mr. Williams’s period 6 class have the opportunity to participate in the development of Bomber Television. Students assigned to the class are divided into Production Crews consisting of between 3 and 4 members. Each production crew is responsible for creating independent videos during the quarter. Each production crew also is assigned the responsibility of recording the daily news program on a rotational basis.
Google Classroom will be utilized through all the courses to distribute and collect assignments. Assignment calendars, notes, due dates, etc are accessible through the Google Classroom link provided to your child.
