Seniors going on Mentorship. Your EXIT INTERVIEW time is posted on the Guidance window. All interviews are held in the A-B Room and students must be on time. If you have a serious conflict with your scheduled time, see Mrs. Hanzak in Guidance right away.
PROM 2017: Tickets will be sold during the lunch blocks April 18-21 ONLY. Tickets cost $55.00 each. Sign up for your TABLE ARRANGEMENT when you buy your ticket—10 students per table. The 2017 Kenston Junior-Senior Prom will be held Saturday, April 29 at Embassy Suites in Independence. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with arrival no later than 6:30 p.m., and ends at 10:30 p.m. Students will not be permitted to leave prom before 10:00 p.m. without written parental permission. GUEST FORMS for Non-Kenston students MUST BE APPROVED before tickets can be purchased. Please allow enough time for your guest to fill out their section of the guest form!
Senior Fall and Winter Athletes – If you purchased a senior picture banner please come to the Athletic Office to pick it up
WEDNESDAY: There will be a CLOSED HOMEROOM TOMORROW. That means that Homeroom is mandatory for all students.
WEDNESDAY: Prom Court Nominations will take place during Homeroom on Wednesday. New this year, there will be ONLINE voting. Seniors, you will receive an email link to make your nominations. This will take place TOMORROW DURING HOMEROOM ONLY. You get one chance to nominate.
WEDNESDAY APRIL 19th: A.P. English Language exam review sessions with Mrs. Costigan will begin Wednesdays after break. The first session will be Wed., April 19 from 2:20-3 in A108. Please attend to pick up a review packet.
THE BOCCE AND UNI CLUBS are starting up the first week of April. You can sign up for either thru KCE. Stop down to Mr. Segulin’s room, B123, if you have questions. Unicycle starts Thursday (4/6) and Bocce starts Friday (4/7).
To eliminate waste of GOOD food, any UNOPENED, UNWANTED food items can be placed in the green bins to be donated to the local food pantry. Again, this program will start on Monday and run for the rest of the year.
ATTENTION SENIORS! These Announcements Are For You!
*Seniors who ordered GRADUATION ITEMS, such as announcements, mugs, t-shirts, etc. can pick them up on Friday, 4/7 during all lunch blocks. If you missed it, stop by the Guidance Dept. today. This DOES NOT INCLUDE CAPS AND GOWNS. Caps and gowns will be distributed after rehearsal the morning of graduation.
*MENTORSHIP– The Senior Project Mentorship application list has been posted on the Guidance window. Please stop and check the list, if you’ve submitted a proposal to go on Mentorship, make sure you’re on the list. If you’re not, get to your faculty advisor right away. This list is pending approval of administration. Also pending are interim grades to be determined April 21. Anyone failing a course on April 21 will not be permitted to go on Mentorship. Also, all fees, fines, library books, etc. must be returned by April 21. The time is now! This week, four days after spring break.
*Attention Seniors – all outstanding school fees and fines must be paid by April 21st in order to participate in mentorship! Turn in fees to the Guidance Office as soon as possible!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY! Students are needed to help with the Breathe program at Holy Angels Church from 5:30-9 p.m. April 21. This program allows parents of special needs children and their siblings a few hours to go out to dinner while the children are being taken care of by volunteers, staff and professionals at Holy Angels Church. No need to be a member of the church. It’s a very rewarding experience and one that is greatly appreciated. KENSTON ACADEMY: Struggling with a class? It’s okay to admit it! If there’s one thing we all have in common is that NONE of us were born with knowledge. Smart people ask! Come to the KA after school Monday through Thursday in the library. Math tutors are available Tuesday through Thursday until 3:20 pm. No sign up required. We are all learners—for the rest of our lives!

LOST & FOUND ITEMS: Please stop by the Main Office if you have lost something or if you have found something that someone has lost. Our drawers already have things from this year– jewelry, planner, sweatshirts and more. If you lost something that hasn’t been found yet, fill out a form so we can notify you when it’s found!
