Swim Season Kickoff

The swim team kicked off their season this year on August 27, with a cookout at Coach Jack’s house and farm. The team came together and welcomed the new freshman while they had fun and socialized, and learned more about how the season will work this year. Although the seniors are gone, the team has introduced 11 new freshman onto the team, 4 more than last year. The team also took a tour of Coach Jack’s farm, which was filled with thriving soybeans and grapes, and huge cows they raise and sell. Delicious food was served, and you could tell that the whole team couldn’t wait start practice and become one big family again. The team enjoyed games like corn hole, baseball, and soccer, and played with Coach’s adorable cat. Sophomore Ellie Mills stated that this season, “will involve a lot of had work, but at the same time will be fun.” Non-mandatory practice starts Monday, September 22 at the KHS weight room at 6 a.m., which will continue every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until mandatory practice starts on Friday, November 3 after school at Chagrin Valley Athletic Club. Hope to see you there!
