Walk-Off Win over Twinsburg

On Tuesday, April 9, the Kenston Bombers baseball team had an exciting walk-off finish against the Twinsburg Tigers. This game was a battle from start to finsh, leaving the Bombers on top with a score of 1-0. The Bombers had a total of three hits- two of them coming in the bottom of the 7th. John Tomcufcik led off the inning with a single up the middle. He then made it to second with a sac bunt by Mike Koniar. Blase Gorski ended up walking leaving two people on with 2 outs. Josh Kain was at the plate and forced a 2-2 count. The next pitch was a fastball and Kain hit a bloop single allowing Tomcufcik to score on the last play of the game. After the game, Kain said, “It felt good to finally get mine. This is a good way to enter the playoffs while we’re on top.” The Bombers are now 15-5 with a couple of games left. Good luck the rest of the season and in the playoffs!
