A message from our Principal

Students of Kenston High School:

It’s hard to believe today is our last day of school. I am honored to have completed this amazing first year as Principal with you by my side. I am proud to take this moment to reflect on our school year, recognizing the many student achievements and accomplishments that occurred.

KHS Students Matter

We thank you for the hard work and dedication to your course work.
We thank you for your diligent effort and focus on assignments outside the classroom.
We thank you for your preparation and participation in engaged activities.
We thank you for your patiences as we implemented one to one technology.
We thank you for your leadership and impact on others.
We thank you for being you and sharing with others your personal gifts and talents.

Juniors soon to be seniors: you have big shoes to fill and high expectations to meet as leaders of the school. You are role models and will lead the underclassman down the pathways to success. Prepare well for this upcoming year.. You only have one chance to be a senior. Have a mature focus over the summer as the daunting task of planning college and career readiness has now arrived. Utilize your resources, reflect on your interests and go on college visits so you can make informed decisions when needed.

Sophomores now Juniors: I am impressed with the level of interest many of you took on with the the Kenston Connect leadership opportunity. Thank you for beginning this new tradition for next school year as you mentor our new freshman through transition. This program will help maintain a positive school culture which is one of our primary goals. Stay true to yourself and think highly of others.

Freshman no longer: I challenge your class to come back to school as sophomores with a brighter outlook on having tolerance for others. It is important that you learn to find balance between the academics and the social distractions. Realign your priorities understanding what is most important to you. Most of you have transitioned to high school quite well and are now prepared for the challenge of 10th grade curriculum. Continue to push yourselves while staying involved with the many opportunities.

Good luck today to everyone as we close out 2016-2017. Please thank your teachers and have gratitude for the opportunities here at Kenston. Have a fantastic summer and always know Bombers Fly Together but remember to KEEP FLYING HIGHER!
