We’d like to congratulate the KMS Science Olympiad teams for placing 7th at the Ohio Science Olympiad State tournament held at Ohio State University. Their success and achievement can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of these students and their advisers. The Ohio Science Olympiad State Tournament is the culmination of outstanding team performances from Ohio’s eight regions. Eighty teams are invited to The Ohio State University for a fun, exciting, and challenging competition resulting in a chance to compete at the national level.
The following students received awards in their respective events: Taking first place in Disease Detective was Nya Ku and Amelia Witmer-Rich; taking second place in Experimental Design was Ronja Markoff, Leah Jarmolowicz and Sage Edwards; taking third place in Aerial Scramble was Sam Gulas and Robert Phillips; third place Ecology winners were Ronja Markoff and Maddie Worsall; taking third place in Mystery Architecture were Sam Koltas and Jay DeCaro; third place Potions and Poisons winners were Sage Edwards and Nya Ku; fourth place Herpetology winners were Maddie Worsdall and Nya Ku; and taking sixth place in Anatomy were Ronja Markoff and Amelia Witmer-Rich.
