New Safety Measures

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Beginning this school year, the district will utilize the Raptor Visitor Management System to provide immediate, real-time screening for visitors, contractors and volunteers entering our buildings.
When entering the building, visitors will be asked to present a valid state issued ID, it will be scanned and a badge will be issued that identifies the visitor, the date and purpose of the visit.  (It is important to note that the Raptor systems only scan the visitor’s name, date of birth and photo for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders.  Any other information on the identification is not scanned by the system and is not stored or accessible to any of the users.)
A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit our schools simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork.  In the event that a person does not have identification, they will be escorted by a member of the staff.
This Visitor Management System provides a consistent way to oversee people entering our buildings.  All visitors will be scanned into the system and required to wear a visitor badge.
