Future Chef Competition

Kenston’s K- 6 elementary students have the opportunity to participate in Future Chefs Cooking Contest sponsored by Sodexo in conjunction with Kenston’s Play Blue initiatives.  “Future Chefs” will actually prepare their recipe at the event. This helps to educate children about HEALTHY EATING HABITS. Too often we hear about obesity in kids who are not making the right choices in terms of their eating habits. Deadline to submit your favorite breakfast recipe is Wednesday, January 13th. Registration/recipe card and additional information.
Final judging will be based on the following criteria:
– Taste –
– Originality –
– Ease of Preparation –
– Healthy Attributions –
– Kid Appeal –
– Plate Presentation –
Use of bonus ingredients – bagels, low-fat cheese, eggs, low sodium ham, mushrooms, oatmeal, pineapple, tortillas, turkey sausage, whole grain cereals & yogurt
