Fourth Grade Music Program

Our 4th grade music program, “Movin’ In The Right Direction,” is coming up on Wednesday, March 9, 7:00 p.m. at Timmons.  The students have been working hard and are very excited to perform for you!

Some important notes:

Please make sure your child brings a flashlight to school as soon as possible.  We will be decorating them and using them for our performance.

T-shirt orders for the program are still be taken.  It would be great if every student purchased a shirt to wear at the performance.  The cost is $5.00.

Also, please make sure your child is bringing their recorder to music class every week.    Hope to see you at our program!!!

Winter Concert & Silver Bells Boutique Performance

It’s almost concert time!  The band and chorus will be performing on Thursday, December 3, 9:30 am at KIS and 7:00 pm at KHS.  Please make sure your chorus student has a nice white shirt and black pants to wear.  The students are to be dressed up for both performances, morning at KIS and evening at KHS.  Arrival time at KHS for the evening performance should be 6:30.

The chorus will also be singing at the Silver Bells Holiday Boutique on Saturday, December 5, from 10:00 – 10:30.  This performance is more casual and students are encouraged to wear holiday-themed or colored outfits with either a Santa hat or reindeer antlers.

Chorus practice will resume after the first of the year on Tuesday, January 5, the day we return from Winter Break.  We will also be singing at the annual Dare Program on Friday, January 15.

Hope you can join us for our performances.  Happy Holidays!!!

Performance Updates

Our Red Ribbon Program is coming up on Monday, October 26, from 6:30 – 7:30 at KIS.   Chorus members should report to the KIS chorus/band room by  6:15 with white shirts and dark pants/jeans.  Attire is casual for this evening.  This is a family-friendly event, so siblings are welcome to attend!  We all need to learn and/or be reminded of the importance of staying drug-free!!!

Our Band and Chorus Winter Concert will be held at the high school on Thursday, December 3.   This is a dress-up occasion.  All students, band and chorus alike, will be wearing black and white.   Boys should have a collared white shirt and girls a nice white shirt or sweater.  Both should wear BLACK PANTS.  No leggings for the girls or jeans for the boys, please.

Please take some time before December 3 to make sure your student has the appropriate concert attire to wear.  We will wear these outfits again for our Spring Concert.   These are very special performances and we want our students to look and perform their very best!  Both the Winter and Spring Concerts will be held at the high school.  We look forward to seeing you at our shows.
